Q. Are data conversions available?

A. The agency information from your current vendor computer system can automatically be read into Eclipse. This automatic conversion can mean considerable timesavings for your agency. Ask your NASA Account Representative for more information.

Q. How long does it take to get started on Eclipse?

A. NASA processes your order immediately upon receipt of the down payment. Your NASA Trainer contacts you, prepares your personalized database and ships the Eclipse software, and training resources often on the same day!

Q. Are there any required End of Month or End of Year Activities?

A. Eclipse eliminates any end of month activities. Closing your financial records after end of year is a simple procedure that can take place any time after the final month without interfering with the daily processing of the new year.

Q. What type of network does NASA recommend for Eclipse?

A. For smaller agencies, Eclipse can run smoothly on a non-dedicated (peer-to-peer) Microsoft® Windows® 2000/XP network. Eclipse does not require dedicated file server thereby saving money.

For larger agencies Windows® 2000, XP are both secure and stable networks that complement Eclipse.

For agencies that require remote site access, Eclipse supports use of Windows XP’s Remote Desktop and/or Windows 2000 & 2003 Server utilizing Terminal Services. Please speak with a NASA sales representative for details.

Q. How does NASA train us on Eclipse?

A. A NASA Support person gets you started on the right foot by overseeing your sixty-day installation and setup period. This person takes responsibility by personally helping you during the initial process! The personal training is complimented with the Interactive Training CD that includes simulations and step-by-step cue cards, an organized Training Manual to keep you on track and a detailed Documentation Manual for advanced topics.
