Q. Are data conversions available?

A. The agency information from your current vendor computer system can automatically be read into Eclipse. This automatic conversion can mean considerable timesavings for your agency. Ask your NASA Account Representative for more information.

Q. How long does it take to get started on Eclipse?

A. NASA processes your order immediately upon receipt of the down payment. Your NASA Trainer contacts you, prepares your personalized database and ships the Eclipse software, and training resources often on the same day!

Q. Are there any required End of Month or End of Year Activities?

A. Eclipse eliminates any end of month activities. Closing your financial records after end of year is a simple procedure that can take place any time after the final month without interfering with the daily processing of the new year.

Q. What type of network does NASA recommend for Eclipse?

A. For smaller agencies, Eclipse can run smoothly on a non-dedicated (peer-to-peer) Microsoft® Windows® network. Eclipse does not require dedicated file server thereby saving money.

For larger agencies Windows® Server operating systems are secure and stable networks that complement Eclipse.

For agencies that require remote site access, Eclipse supports use of Remote Desktop and/or Windows Server editions utilizing Terminal Services. Please speak with a NASA sales representative for details.

Q. How does NASA train us on Eclipse?

A. During your initial 90 day training period, you will have a specific NASA Support And Training Specialist in charge of training your agency.  Our Professional and courteous software trainers will oversee your installation and setup period, providing personalized service.  Unlimited software training is all done over the phone and internet (WebEx).  This personalized training is complimented with a thorough Documentation Manual describing advanced topics of the Eclipse software.
